Does SteamOS need graphics drivers?

i just upgraded my laptop to steamOS and i was wondering if i need to download intel HD3000 graphics drivers or not? Also where would i find them?

linux *should* install the right drivers by itself.

 

some distros handle this better than others tho...

it will use the open source driver unless you tel it to use a different one
