Hi forum wanted to ask what can I upgrade on this small desktop.

It´s basically for league of legends and some game recording, nothing too expensive and I dont mind if rendering videos takes time but an i5 was something I was considering.

Anyways my computer settings are in the following link:

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c02463937

What you guys think I could upgrade without spending tons of money, considering I am trying to get a gtx 750 ti and after need a good monitor since 60hz ones kill me eyes literally thats why I still use my old 85hz crt :P not sure if the same happens with new ones.

your PSU can probably handle a 750ti I would also try to maybe find an i5 from that generation that would fit in to that socket on ebay.

The i7-960 is socket 1366, it wouldn't fit that board

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 🙂

Would something like an i7-875k do fine than?
From what I read on the computer page info its 2,93ghz capped and this processor is basically 2,93ghz =s
Althought it seems I might need to upgrade the power supply to something more stronger.

So after doing my research I came up with the following setup and wanted to check if everything is compatible before buying them:
- http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00J8E92TE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_3&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (RAM)
- http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0144YGBMI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_2&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (GPU)
- http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HGB8TKY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (PSU)
- http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Core-i7-870-2-93GHz-Quad-Core-HT-8MB-LGA1156-95W-TDP-B1-Stepping-Processor-/400834028101?hash=item5d5391e245 (Processor)

Wanted to know if all these are compatible with my motherboard and if after I could get an 120gb ssd and a cooler master 212 cpu cooler.

If you're just going to play league and record the software, buy an evga 750ti THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE ACX COOLER, and you can use shadowplay to record your game. I'm not sure if shadowplay will need to render your game footage, but any kind of rendering will literally take ages. I don't think the 950 will work because of your low PSU

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

@GDRRiley:

Was considering around 400/450euros upgrade including buying a better power supply for future use.

But one of my questions is my desktop psu fan is on rear and most psu have top fans can I invert the psu so it goes down so fan isn´t blocked by the computer chassy or how can I fix that problem or if instead of buying an ssd should I buy a cheap new computer case and swap all my hardware to there.

@Fgtfv567 Sorry about that but almost 4am here brain aint thinking much =x.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/d3n6t6 this is all new except for hard drive but that is cheep and you DVD reader. See if you can by another kit of what ram you have or you can go with  new ram. 8gb is fine for light editing. If you still want to use you old one convert it into a server to hold all of your files in one place 2 HDD in raid 1 would work.

  • 3 weeks later...

So with some effort I managed to save almost 70euros, still far from GPU I know, but hey its something, so I wanted to start to upgrade my pre built computer and I wanted to start with Power Supply since my current power supply is a really old 300watts powersupply and after Graphic Card and since many here suggested I will go for a gtx 950 and I though about the Zotac GTX 950 AMP! due to its small size however not sure if the zotac gtx 950 amp! is compatible with my motherboard.

But eitherway the powersupply I am thinking on buying to handle a gtx 950 depending which model I end buying is an Antec VPF 450Watts

And I wanted the opinion from you guys if I should buy this powersupply or save 11euros more and buy a Cooler Master RS 550Watts

The cooler master will most likely last longer and should have no issue as it has a 5 year warranty.

So managed to order the Cooler Master G550 today, now only issue I am facing is if the Graphic Card I want will fit my motherboard because I doubt computer case will have any problem.

So basically while searching YouTube for my motherboard I found a video with more detail on the components of the motherboard and perhaps the more experienced users here could tell me if it wouldn´t obstruct any of the components of the motherboard, and I also got some screenshots of the inside of my computer which is now with less dust since I cleaned it so don´t worry. :P

Screenshots of my Pre Built Computer: http://imgur.com/a/gw14G

The graphic card is the Zotac GTX 950 AMP!.

Heres a link for the Graphic Card:

(At minute 5:22 you can see the size of the graphic card in detail but to keep it short "208x111,25x35,3MM)

Thanks for help before hand as usual. :P

Any GPU will work just don't go above a 970 or you might run into bottlenecks. See if you can get a I-7
