Choosing a good monitor for office work

Zeke

So, my mom needs a display she mostly gonna use to work in Word/Excel and a couple of other office programs.

The budget is about $180-200 (willing to stretch a bit if it's really worth it), the desired size is 23-24 inches (giggity). Now I have my eye on Dell monitors, E2314H/P2314H (and their 24" companions as well). Now the question is, is IPS worth the extra investment? Are there any other good options in this price range?

She seems to reject the option of an ultrawide one.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

For office work you can buy pretty much any monitor. I don't think that she would notice any difference with IPS. Just look for a good deal on an Asus/Dell/BenQ 24" 1080p monitor and she'll be happy.

you can easily just pick up a 99$ monitor thats 34 inches and that will do the job, if your bent on spending 200, get her two of them.
