So I was getting ready to upgrade to win10 by putting win10 on my SSD (worked), but now I can't boot to Win8.1, even if I have my SSD removed and the only working drive is my 1TB SSHD, which has the 8.1 on it.

Any ideas?

If you did an "upgrade", your windows 8.1 will no longer be there. It is possible to undo the upgrade though. In the 'Update and security' settings menu you will have 'Recovery', which will allow you to go back to Windows 8.1, the version you previously had installed before the upgrade.

I did a fresh install on the SSD; win8.1 is still on the SSHD. I checked on win10; EVERY file is still there.

Then you should check the boot order in your bios. If the SSD is first, it will always boot from there and leave the others alone.

I did that. Each drive said "no OS found"

Even if I took the SSD out, it still said no OS found.
