Can't hear myself with Hyperx Cloud 2's?

JonnyBoyThan

Are you supposed to not be able to hear yourself talk with this headset? I even set it to listen to this device and stuff in the windows settings.

No it doesnt have that built in. However, you should be able to hear yourself with the listen option toggled in Windows. Are you sure the mic is working?

I'm positive. Talk to friends all the time with it. Is it because I have the headsetvolume at 4% I mean I can still hear everything loud as f%#ck but should I have the headset volumea t more than 4%?

Right click on the sound icon in your system tray.

Click 'Recording devices'.

Right click on your microphone and click 'Properties'.

Click on the 'Listen' tab at the top.

Check the box 'Listen to this device'.

Make sure the 'Playback through this device:' is you headset.

Click OK.

Profit.

Also make sure the microphone levels are at a hear-able level in the 'Levels' tab. You shouldn't need any mic gain.

Did you verify that the mic is working in Skype or Audacity or something?

Ahh I see. There aren't any replies either. Try reinstalling audio drivers? Most likely Realtek.

OP, are you using the USB dongle or connecting the 3.5mm to your motherboard? If the USB dongle, updating drivers won't help.

A. Hearing yourself (mic loopback) is not a function of this headset.

B. If the Listen option did work, it'd be delayed, and it would seriously make it hard to talk while you listen to a delayed copy of yourself.

Very true, I used to do this on my Siberia V2s, but it's hard to talk. So now I just yell to hear myself lol.
