its a 3pin female connector, use that to power up your 2nd fan if you choose to add a 2nd fan :)

Recently received my HE01 with a 140mm fan , however the fan has 2 connector on it , a 4 pin and a 3 pin connector ( idk what they are called in their terms). Am I suppose to connect both the connectors to the motherboard or do I only need to connect the 4 pin to the CPU FAN header? What about the 3 pin ??? ( it has 3 pins but actually it looks like a 4 pin with the third one missing )

Yes, only connect the 4-pin to your motherboard.

 

The other connector is for if you want to connect a second fan.

What do they mean if I wan to connect to another fan??? If I have another fan , for example the Corsair AF120 , it will have a 4 pin and I will plug it into the extra header that I leave danggling around? . Then I won't need to find another header on the Motherboard since the new fan will be sharing the power from the same CPU header?
