I am going to be getting powerline to provide internet connection to my new build as I cannot get Ethernet cable to the pc. I will be primarily gaming on the system, and I would like to know whether to get 200 or 500 mbps powerline. As I am only 16 I do not have much money to spend on it. Also I live in England so if you could give suggestions that are available in the UK.

Thanks

why not wireless? My powerline sucks and ive found wifi to be faster/lower ping than my powerline ( granted my powerline things may suck or the house's wires may be old )

AS a general rule powerline will provide better connection than wifi.

Well depends, if youre pretty close to the router but cant use a cable then it might not ( i get 5mbps down on powerline and 60mbps down on wifi )

I have 2 sets of TP-Link 500mbps ones running flawlessly.

Either way make sure you get a model with a gigabit network jack otherwise your going to only be able to use 100mpbs of the 500. You would believe how many companies have at least one model like this.

Okay thanks, it is good to know that it works well for someone, and the gigabit network jack information is very helpful
