Hi guys.

There are so many keyboards, and so many top ten lists that its hard to decipher which is the "best"... well the best for my needs. My current board has been crap, it's a rosewill and randomly get stuck, the software is terrible... It was my first Rosewill product and will be my last.

I am looking for a good quality standard mechanical keyboard for gaming. No limi/high limit for key presses, I think my current board only reports 6. Basically I am looking for a sturdy keyboard that when I press a button I know its going to work. extra's like backlighting, software, macro's etc are just secondary to build quality, If I can get a well made keyboard that will last at a decent price I will be a happy gamer. I am staying away from buying based on looks or lighting color as the last few keyboards I have had have been pretty crap, and I don't want to pay extra for a chroma keyboard.

What do you guys recommend?

I second the Corsair K70, I love this keyboard for home use. At work I use the Das Keyboard 4 Professional - a bit more expensive, but has excellent build quality and none of the backlights/extra keys you might find on a gaming keyboard. Both are an absolute pleasure to type on. I use MX Browns in both.
