Hey there,

I've got a stock i5 4670k with a Dark Rock pro 2 cooler.

I'm really impressed by the silence of this cooler, and of course its beauty as well ;P

According to the CPUID monitor, these are my temps. Are they high/low for a 4670k and how much headroom for overclocking would I have (of course not possible to say completely, but estimate) to keep it at healthy temps with OC?

Thanks!

I think that's around the same temperature my room has, yes.

I have no idea, can anyone tell me how exactly I can test and monitor this stuff?

start prime95, make sure task manager says your CPU is at 100%, watch how high the CPU temps go. once they go above 90°C, stop the test

What length do you recommend to let this test run? And is there a tool that will say what the highest temp it reached was?

(nevermind)

I just ran prime95 for an hour or 2, and this are the results from realtemp gt:

Is this any good for this cooler or should my temps be better?

your max was 58°C, that's pretty good. As long as it's under 90 you don't have any issues ;)

I hope that's a good temp for this cooler :p For a 4670k, how far would you think I could overclock (eventually)? I hope to get 4.4 or 4.6 and if possible higher.

I don't know how temps rise on the haswelül chips, just raise your clock speed 200mhz at a time, test how hot it gets and if it's stable, if it's unstable add a little bit more voltage, don't go too high though. Also, you don't have to keep it at the max it will go, that'll kill your chip faster over time. Once you found the maximum, either due to stability or temp-issues, go down 200mhz again and call it a day ;)

As long as your chip isnt awful for OCing 4.4 is easily obtainable, possibility  4.6 as well. I'm on a Corsair H100i, and got 4.6 @1.24 V, with max temps of about 73 C
