It really depends, what is the workload you plan to run on this machine?

 

Edit- For some reason they all have expensive CPU's and "shit" GPU's.

If workstation for $1000, which I assume it is based on the computers you were looking at, buy this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Q8yJ99 it's like the ones you listed but better. Balanced heavily toward CPU-intensive work, and has a weak graphics card

Hey guys so when i was looking on ebay and i found a bunch of HP desktops and when i tried to make a custom build it was more expensive even when i used places like pcpartspicker.com and stuff so here are a few of the desktops.

 

 

Please Comment with if i should buy one of these or if there is a better option.

Those PCs have less superior SSDs that break easily and are very small

The PSUs are usually made cheaper and less efficient than PSUs you buy when it's custom built

And those PSUs leave you with no room to SLI or Crossfire (or even a stronger card)

The Motherboards are also hard to determine and might not support overclocking as well as motherboards on custom builts

 

 

In other words all the key components look good on the spec sheet  (except GPU), but they won't last you a long time

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CW6YGX instead save money by getting a 4690k and you can change the gpu to a gtx 980 if you want

Thanks everyone for the info that was very helpful and yes i am looking for a workstation that i can upgrade to game later when i have a higher budget my curent budget is $1200
