New SSD recommendations

jem.graham

So following some unfortunate power outages, my SSD has died, so I need a new one. Does anyone have recommendations? Or SSDs to stay away from.

Also I'd like a 240gb SSD. My budget is anything at a sensible price, nothing too extravagant.

Thanks guys

I like the samsung drives. I'd go with a 250gb Evo.

Most people would recommend a Samsung drive, but I have multiple brands and haven't noticed a huge difference in performance or reliability as of yet.

You sir is the only one who recommend that crappy Kingston V300 SSDs. Don't. Check some benchmarks. Also not that Sandisk.

Crucial MX100 are way better affordable high speed SSDs.

Just because I don't have one, I don't know anything about SSDs? You're wrong.

Sandisk SSD's write speed is pretty low when compared to other SSDs in that same range.
