I'm looking to get a nice graphics card for my light gaming rig. I know that this range of card is perfect for what I need because I never really played anything higher than CS:GO, LoL, or Minecraft. I've played with a 750Ti so I know that is works very well with those games, but I'm thinking about getting a new 950 (Not necessarily right now, but in maybe a month or two when it'll be a little cheaper).

So should I go with the 950 or the 750Ti? (By the way I'm pretty biased towards the 950 because it's new hardware which I like and also because 95 is my favorite number.

A 960 only costs about $10 - $30 more than a 950.

It's more towards $30 and I don't need to spend that much more because the 950 is all the card I could need. Remember (CS:GO, LoL, and Minecraft)? Not necessarily tough to run ;)

270x

wrecks both by a fair margin and same price if not lower than the 950

The R9 270X doesn't wreck the GTX 950 at all considering the GTX 950 and R9 270X beat the R7 370 by around 10-15%.

Cheapest one I could find is $150, the rest are $170. The 950 is $160-$180.

$130 http://pcpartpicker.com/mr/newegg/sapphire-video-card-100364l

It's an up to a 16% gap depending on game.

It's not a big deal tho. So I'll have 400fps instead of 300fps in LoL. Doesn't really matter unless I have a 400hz monitor lol. I'm fine with the 950 or 750Ti

I was comparing them to the 750ti from what ive see the 950 is 25% faster than a 750ti while a 270x is 35% faster

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Enough with the 270X, I have a CX430M and I don't want that power hungry card to slowly chew away at it. I don't like how AMD sacrifices power efficiency for 10fps.

Yeh I was about to say the same thing lol :P

And the 270X surely doesnt beat a 960, or at least Id hope it doesnt considering the 960 is supposed to be nearing a 770 in performance :/

Get a 950 or 960, truly I think the 60 is worth it since its literally like $20-$30 more :D And then maybe you can use a motion blur shader in MC ;)

The GTX 960 handily beats the R9 270X, staying with the R9 380.

I understand that the 960 is an overall better value but really I don't need the extra performance. I will consider it just in case I maybe plan on playing some more graphically intense games. :)

Ahh, I was on Newegg.

Also remember though that it's after a rebate, so you're still paying $150 upfront and waiting 2 months for your $20 card to come to you.

I feel like this turned in to a 270x vs 950 war lol. But in all seriousness I didn't see anyone say go with the 750Ti so I think I'm gonna go with the 950/960 depending on what the situation is because I'm not really gonna buy a new card until maybe a month or two from now.
