So I see this ad on my local Craigslist, keep in mind I want a bit more power so I can max out games at 1080p: http://houston.craigslist.org/sop/5165369578.html

Currently I have a GTX 760 DCUII. That card is a 770 ACX. More power, but is it worth sellin' my 760 for $130 and then asking my parents for like $10 to get one of those 770s if it's still available? Let me know, it shouldn't be that hard. Also let me know how a 770 performs compared to an R9 380. Thanks!

its a decent deal but i wouldnt go out of the way for it

Evga b stock i think are like 170$

So you would save but not much.

the r9 380 mostly beats the 770 if i remember correctly

Hmm... Better just wait and get the 380 Nitro then. That 770 is pretty damn nice though.

Yea i would say wait.

New architecture is nice on 3xx and 9xx series,

I recently went from 760 SLi to single 960 and wont go back

A performance hit but so much quieter with silent mode and more energy efficient.

Haha, my 760 is already dead silent. It's the DCUII, the only time it's semi loud is when I've been playing BF4 for like 4 hours.

Yea i had gigabyte windforce coolers so there where usually quite but under heavy load they would rev up quite a bit.

New feature like having the fans not turn on until a certain temperature is hit is a very nice touch.

And plus newer cards get full directx 12 support

http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/207598-demystifying-directx-12-support-what-amd-intel-and-nvidia-do-and-dont-deliver

It doesnt support the highest level though,

now how that will effect performance in later better optimized games,

well i have no idea xD

380 is solid choice tho
