Average OC for these cpus

i7 4790k & i5 4690k - 4.5GHz average on air and 4.6GHz on water

FX 8350 & FX 8370 - 4.6GHz on air and 4.8GHz on water

FX 9370 - 5GHz on water and it is not recommended to run on air (it is basicaly FX 8350 overclocked to 5.0GHz).

1. You don't overclock a 9370 unless you like a burnt motherboard

2 You can't really give an accurate average overclock for a CPU because they are factors like the cooler, how much headroom you get per voltage bump, whether the motherboard handles higher voltages,etc. It's different for everyone

You can, but it should be a 990 motherboard with 8+2 phases at least

I've usually seen more 4.4 on the two Intels.

Thats true for i7 4770k and i7 4670k but the Haswell Refresh has slightly better averages.

No you just don't overclock a 9370 because it a pre overclocked 8370 and it's already a heat machine so you shouldn't overclock unless you have a good custom loop or LN2 cooling

yea, kinda right, it's a shame to just bring the same proccessor with higher clocks.... though I think the 9370 comes with a 140mm AIO liquid cooler

Don't bother with the fx8 chips. They overclock better but theni5 still beats both and the i7 eats them. For the i5 and i7 expect Atleast a minimum .5ghz overclock

Just like to mention speeds across brands (intel v AMD) are not comparable by number itself
