950 VS 960 Benchmarks

Not putting this in news because it is a review, but this review compares the 950 to the 960:

Yeah it is. But it also makes sense that it is placed where it is placed now.

The 750 and 750Ti are also part of the current Maxwell lineup in some way.

750 < 750Ti < 950 < 960 < 970 < 980

I think it wasn't necessary  to release it.

So GTX960 is still better.

I like it. It's about $30 less then the 960 and with a little overclock will perform the same. Yes you could overclock the 960 but for people on a very tight budget the card makes sense.

Here there's only like a 10-15 dollars difference on the 950 and 960

Comparing Processing Power, TDP and efficiency

 

GTX 750 Ti: 1306 gflops, 60 watts - 21.76 gflops/watt
GTX 960: 2308 gflops, 120 watts - 19.23 gflops/watt

 

GTX 950 (first source): 1572 gflops, 90 watts - 17.46 gflops/watt

GTX 950 (second source): 1825 gflops, 90 watts - 20.27 gflops/watt

 

1572 gflops is not enough for the current generation.

If GTX 950 is really weak, it will be a shame because both GTX 750 and GTX 960, which are older, are more efficient than it.

I believe it is 1825 gflops. If that is true, then I will buy it.
