1080 vs 1050

I currently have a 20 inch 1680x1050 monitor and I'm thinking of upgrading to 1080p.

 

Will my current monitor look crisper than a 1080p 24 inch monitor. I put it into a pixel density calculator and mine seems to have a higher pixel density, am I doing something wrong?

Yes, the 1080p monitor will be someone less dense. Still decently sharp though, in my opinion anyway.

A 20 inch 1080p monitor will have higher pixel density than yours. They have to be the same size monitor in order to compare that.

Not only will it look better, but more games support 1080p than 1050p.

1050p = 16:10 (8:5) monitors

1080p = 16:9 monitors

GTA SA says no to 16:9, so thats why i have 16:10!!!

(That is a lie, but that is why i haven't upgraded)
