840 PRO 512GB vs. 850 EVO 500GB

Go to solution Solved by ZetZet,

replace? It would be like pouring water from a red bucket into a blue bucket. nothing changes. Why would you even think about replacing an ssd that's like pretty much new. Also ssd's will not hold value because they die depeding on how much you use them. Used ssd's will always be cheap because people will be afraid of killed ssd's from servers and stuff.

Is it worth getting an 850 EVO to replace my 840 PRO? Are there any notable advantages? How much is my 840 Pro worth now that's it's aged some?

Ahh, thanks. I was just wondering.

I do like red buckets though. Red is a nice color.
