Sounds like it might be a dodgy controller box, assuming you are plugging in via 12V power from your PSU.

One other thing is are there any IR remotes in the room say for a TV being used if they are the same frequency it might affect it.

Hey, so I got this computer I recently build about a month ago and so far everything is good. However, I ordered satachi LEDs strips off of amazon since I heard good reviews about them. However, the only problem is that starting today I caught the strips turn off on their own for the first time. Then I turned them back on no problem. Then about a half hour or so passed by and saw that they changed color. No problem, just changed them back to my preferred color (blue). Now, after 2 hours I noticed that it turned off again. I dont know whats causing this problem. I'm going to check for loose wires afterwards since i think it could be that. However, I just wanted your input on it cause im not too sure myself. The LEDs still work and they are back to blue again but i just got kind of worried cause i wanted to know if this has anything to do with my power supply or my LED strips?

btw i think i have the corsair 750 watt power supply or something. My build is pretty basic: i5 4690k, gtx 960, asus z-97a mobo, etc, etc. Any input as to what to do would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

You my friend, are a genius. Haha, I knew it used IR light but I had no clue I could do this. Haha. It was funny cause I do remember changing the channels on my tv before and now that i try to adjust my volume and point it to my receiver, it started turning my LEDs on and off. Thanks!
