I want a new GPU, something with a bit more power than my GTX 760. I didn't want to save up money as I can't find a job, so I thought I would sell my old laptop first for $100 and my GPU right after for like $120 or $130. With the money from those two I would buy a Sapphire R9 380 Nitro, or a used GTX 780 or something. Now usually, I get responses to my Craigslist ads within a day, but I have been posting this laptop, which is an ASUS A53E-XT2 with a SanDisk U110 120GB SSD (which is worth like $40-$50 by itself) over and over again on Craigslist, and it's been several days without any serious inquires. The only responses are people who are trying to scam me with that 'I will pay $300 if you ship it to me' bullshit. One guy offered like $20 with PayPal saying it was a gift for his 'fiancee' even though the laptop has a broken power jack and won't charge (which is why I am selling the laptop for so cheap even though it has an SSD). What am I doing wrong? Even eBay ads for this laptop for more expensive, only the broken ones are like $100. This one works fine, and I clearly stated that, but the power jack needs to be replaced. I can't sell it for cheaper than $100 because then the card I would be able to get wouldn't be much of an upgrade, or I would have to jack up the price of the 760. That coupled with the fact that I don't really have anymore old components or anything lying around isn't helping. What should I do?

P.S. Sorry for the long paragraph of text, I am becoming really frustrated and my 760 was fucking up earlier which doesn't add to the situation at all.

TL;DR: I want a new GPU, so I want to sell my old laptop and my old GPU to pay for a new GPU. The laptop isn't selling. At all. What should I do?

Troubleshooting thread might know how to help you

This isn't a troubleshooting thread, it isn't software or hardware related. Should I ask my parents to order a new power jack so I can solder it in and get it working again? Then I wouldn't have to sell it as if it's broken or something?

Make a TL:DR at the bottom, but i think soldering a powerjack will get you killed. Dont do it unless you are a skilled electrical engineer. You will die.

OFF TOPIC: I suggest every poll from now on to have "**CK EA" option instead of "Other"

What? Calm down, I know how to solder and work with electrical components. The power jack of an uncharged laptop isn't going to kill me. I'm trying to figure out how to sell this damned laptop since it won't sell for some reason. I know the 760 will sell like a hot cake, GPUs sell fast on Craigslist. Maybe I can sell my old monitor as well? For like $20 or $30?

It's not a VG248QE or anything. It's just some HP 20" with a 1600x900 res.

No that looks really tacky on Craigslist, I already cleaned it and all before I took pictures, it still looks nice.
