so i want to throw together a cheap pc for a friend who is doing some light gaming and my question is would a Q6600 with a 7850 be able to run the following games?

minecraft

Civ 5

Need for speed Most Wanted Black Edition (2005)

and like nes/snes emulators?

Rigs I've Built

The Striker i5 4590 @ 3.7 ||  MSI GTX 980 Armor X2 || Corsair RMX 750 || Team Elite Plus 8 GB || Define S || MSI Z97S SLI Krait

The Office PC i3 4160 @ 3.6 || Intel 4600 || EVGA 500B || G.Skill 8 GB || Cooler Master N200 || ASRock H97M Pro4

The Friend PC G3258 @ 4.3 || Sapphire R9 280X Tri-X || EVGA 600B || 8 GB Dell Ram || Cooler Master N200 || ASRock H97M- iTX/ac

The Mom Gaming PC A10-7890K @ 4.4 || iGPU + ASUS R7 250 ||  8 GB Klevv DDR3-2800 Mhz

Maybe G3258 + R7 260X?

P.S A 7850 can run BF3 at 1080p@60fps

Oh nice! Yeah it should run all that just fine, you can run BF3 on that! That's a 2010 spec gaming rig

okay, thank you

and yeah, i have alot of tech cause m dad used to collect pcs. he has like 15 of them which ive taken apart. all from 2000-2010, so i have quite a bit of tech lying around

Q6600 came out in I think 2006. It's more than enough CPU for both games and it'll work fine with that 7850. :)

8GB of RAM is plenty too.

NES emulation? You essentially need a PC from the year 1998 to do that... so you'll have absolutely no problem emulating older consoles. N64, Dreamcast and PSX might struggle a little depending on the title.
