Personal preference. There is no 'best' settings. Mainly because it sound different for everyone becuase the shape of our heads and ears.

default, highest bit depth and sampling rate possible, and lowest gain that gets loud enough for you.

If youre recording gameplay, disable GX or you ll get no sound in the recording.

I enable Hi-Fi to make sure the sound isn't modified (which is probably equivalent to leaving the eq at the default settings but I enable it just because).

 

And with my headphones I change the mode from "FP Headphone" to "FP 2 Speakers" because it makes the sound a little punchier without being louder.

 

Of course, this is my personal preference.  If you're a basshead or whatever then you'll think differently.  Audio is very subjective.
