Unplug it / turn it off after?

if it works without the batteries in that could be a good idea too

It will be fine, its just using up the batteries (or rechargeable battery cycles, they have like say 500-1000 cycles)

I would just remove the battery and have it usb powered

no, but my mic have been on for hundereds of hours without me using it, although it doesnt have a battery

maybe the battery will be damaged?

also, if there is a lightning strike in your area, and your computer gets bricked, it will keep going through your mic and brick it too

ive even heard lightning strikes transfering through internet cables
