Earbuds for workouts

so my cx685 bit the dust (after 8 months so for earbuds kinda standard ish) and i need a new pair of earbuds.

 

Lately i have started working out and running more so that will be my main focus for them. That means they need to have a cable that goes over the ear (like the IE80's) or fins/wings (like the jaybird bluebud x's and cx 685) 

 

i have a budget for $150 ish cad 

 

needs

 

DURABLE they need to last at least 18 months

good sound with some nice mids highs and lows with more emphasis on the mids and highs if needed.

a small 3.5mm jack, my case has a small hole for my 3.5mm jack

removable eartips

a method of holding them in (have a cable that goes over the ear (like the IE80's) or fins/wings (like the jaybird bluebud x's and cx 685))

braided or flat cable would be nice

how are the jaybird freedoms? are the a good value being a step down from the awesome bluebud x's?

Luke did a video on this topic a while back.

He reviewed something that clipped on your earphones and they stayed on after Luke got tackled by his room mate

that was for the apple earpods as far as i can remember

That sounds about right.

They might work on other earbuds though.

i have a really good pair of earbuds (cx685 are amazing they just broke) and i need an entirely new pair

I really like the jaybirds and want to eventually purchase them. But my Motorola S10 is much cheaper and works great so its hard to justify it.
