The power button on my case doesn't work because the cord between the button and the motherbaord was snipped whilst the computer was turned off. Have you got any advice? My grandfather who has experience in electrical says just using a block to bridge the wires (and making sure positive goes to positive, negative goes to negative), and the power button should work like normal. I've taken the jumper off the motherboard for now and am just using the motherboard's power button.

Any thoughts?
