I wouldn't call this hacking your just spoofing a different IP and basically causing the system to say its not part of a user account group, pretty simple stuff. I would not even consider this a hack its just some sys admin who didn't account for someone that actually knows how a computer works. Its like the instance of leaving a default password set to password, in which no person can help them, so i say free game as ignorance needs to die when it comes to basic security measures. 

 

They forgot to block thumb drives and foreign processes that are not handled under a specific database, plain and simple, might as well tell them to stop using the same passwords for years and years, my highschool did the same when it comes to security and failed horribly at it.

This one time on April 1st I was with a friend in the office I work in and we shut down all the network switches and waited for chaos. 

Well mine was a bit more devious, I loaded Quake II on all the schools lab computers and threw it into startup and hid all icons and the taskbar, It was great :P Finally reset the password for Admin Access across the network (the IT guy always did have a very bad habit of pasting passwords on sticky notes around his monitors)
