Hello everyone! I am planning on building my first computer. I am a high school student so I don't have much money for a huge build, but enough to get a decent build. I am looking at gaming and then later streaming games, making YouTube videos, and playing with Photoshop.

This is what I have so far. Need help on a couple things...

Mobo-had good reviews on newegg, don't know much about motherboards so if there's something better out there for around the same price please let me know.

Psu-dont know much about these either. If there's one better for about same price would like to know!

Thanks for imput!

Why a 4690k?

If you getting a Xeon you don't need a Z97 board since your not overclocking and the reason for a 4690K you can overclock. Also I would suggest to change that V300 SSD to say a Samsung Evo drive the V300 aren't as good as they used to be.

Before everyone says it the CX series is not the best regarded PSU, since it seems to be prone to fail or have issues.

Why Xeon ? Go 4690k

In games, unless you overclock the snot out of the 4690k (most people won't go that far) then the performance difference is very small.

However, if you ever wanted to do more than 4-5 things at a time, maybe stream youtube while streaming to twitch and gaming, then the Xeon can really pull ahead.

I see no problems with it what so ever. Great all around.
