Hi, Can someone please recommend me a server build, Because im not really sure where to go with this.

Requirements : Needs to have at least 8TB of storage

Also should i run FREENAS or Windwos Server

You should follow your topic, I would probably go with windows server. I'm still researching the topic for myself though, looking to build a storage and media streaming server as well.

Actually Ubuntu Server might be a better option if you just need a file server...

a Pentium G3258 would probably be best place to start though an FX 6300 (or i3 4170) would probably be the most balanced for a file server.

Is this a family or business server?

What sort of budget is being contemplated?
