I've got an iPad 2 16gb Black/Silver and I wanna get a iPad mini 3 since this is just to big for me. The thing was free but it's gone through some wear and tear over the past 3 years. It runs like a charm after I fully reset it. There is tons of scratches on the screen ( those little ones you can only see if you hold,it at a certain angle. Two of them are noticeable but only on a white screen and I may be able to get rid of them. The back is scratched badly and the corners are scuffed but in the end it runs just fine.

Few concerns... I've got a black carbon fiber skin wrap on it, should I sell it like that and tell, people about the scratches on the back or just peel it off

I was thinking $100 starting ( tons are going from $120-$160ish ) so I figured the small scratches $100 makes sense. If it doesn't sell I had a screen protector that was like $8 I could throw in that I peeled off that made the scratches look non existent so I'd buy it again and throw it in there.

Nothing is wrong with it, just scratched up a bit.

Seems reasonable just mention say regular wear and tear, but in terms of the screen don't try to polish out or remove scratches it ruins the oleophobic coating.

Yeah when in doubt I'll just throw in a glass screen protector which can be found for less then $10 now days

It would start out at $100 and people would bid for it

You could also set up a reserve.

A what... My Uncle in law sells stuff on eBay, I know nothing. He makes like $3000 or so a year from refurbishing old stuff from yard sales or stuff and sales for profit.

Please excuse me if a reserve has nothing to do with eBay..

A reserve is essentially the minimum price you're willing to sell the item.

e.g. you set up a reserve price of $150 but the bidding starts at 1$. If it doesn't reach 150$ the item doesn't sell.

Ohh.. The thing was free so I'll be more then happy with $100, most that sell for $150 look brand new
