I thought someone had tried them and reported that they sounded weird. Either way, I wouldn't bother. Better go for a hifiman or something along those lines if you're into vocals.

Ive heard mixed reviews on Hifiman headphones comfort levels...

You assumed this because...?

How is vocal presentation? Forward? Layed back? Just right? Thanks :)

It's definitely more forward than their lcds line, and overall has a warm and balanced sound signature but the el-8 takes what everyone liked about the lcd2 and stripped it all away. I would get an open box lcd2 for cheap or th600 for the price tbh.

Edit: Regarding hifiman's comfort, it's not as bad as people say especially with the new headband and if you switch to their velour pads it's quite bearable.

Because I'm in a group chat with most of the "Audiophiles" on this forum, and the ones not in that group chat I'm friends/acquaintances with.

That was me!!! They definitely sounded weird to me. I think it seemed like a hugely accentuated mid bass hump that went all the way into the mids. Note: my only experience is brief and with the closed version.

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
