Recording programs pick up sounds from inside windows...

So I will be on skype, using a microphone and headphone combination, and they will complain that they can hear my videos and ingame sounds. Here is an example of my problem: https://soundcloud.com/austin-dube-2/audio-problem

My drivers are updated, all non-headphone and non-microphone devices are disabled, no special effects are activated, and this problem still occurs when my headphones are detached. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

i feel like the issue is your voice is *that* low, turning it up picks up every little bit of noise it can find.

how far away is your mouth from the mic; and whats the mic settings set to?

It has a full 30db boost since it's a quiet microphone, with about 1cm away from my mouth.

Go to playback devices --> recording and try disabling everything but your microphone and see if that fixes it.

Already did that as stated.

under recording is Stereo Mix enabled?

How does that mic work lol?

um....hmm weird.

Stereo Mix is disabled, and the mic works by acting as a detachable headphone cable, with the mic acting as a boom mic. Made for headphones with a 3.5mm detachable cable.

It goes Computer > headphone/microphone combo splitter > 4 poll extention cable > Vmoda mic cable > headphones.

Change the input settings of things. That happened to me in GTAV where it simply took the output of my speakers and played it into GTAV Online.

It would be impossible to use the microphone without it. I would love a better mic but don't really want to spend over 60 on one.

get yourself a decent mic, this thing is a joke...

Any suggestions? This problem still happens when the mic is not plugged in anyways.
