Windows 8.1 creation tool question

I have a product key for Windows 8 Standard N. In the creation tool, it does not give me the option for Windows 8 N but Windows 8.1 N. Am I able to use the Windows 8.1 N creation tool for the Windows 8 Standard N?

why would you want a N or KN version ? just install the normal version

But I already have a product key for the N version. I just need the creation tool iso thing on my usb.

my creation tool gave me a option for N version. depends on where did you get the creation tool i guess, i opened it from En-Us site

My creation tool gave me the option for N version too, but only for Windows 8.1. I have Windows 8 N though. I don't know if it will work.

apologies, i thought you were trying to create a Win 10 USB in WIn 8.1, i never have installed win 8, so ignore my comments.
