Mouse issue

 So, funnily enough, I restarted my PC and my Razer Taipan was not connected for some reason, although the usb was plugged in. I re-plugged it and it started working. Restarted again and it's working. Question is, is everything okay? Should I be worried something is wrong with my mobo or was it just a bug - one of those that happen every so often - Mobo is 6 months old (in my sig), mouse is 2 years old. Both work without issues, aside from this little odd fiasco. Braiding is a bit screwed on the mouse cable though, including me removing parts of it cause they were fucked up.

I think it's just a bug, if your plugging it into a usb 3.0 that could be it. Your board might not recognize them at start up.

 

If anything just remove the driver and registry key associated with the driver and see if that helps.

I think it's jsut a bug, if your plugging it into a usb 3.0 that could be it. Your board might not recognize them at start up.

Believe it's a USB 2.0 - but since it's the first time I've ever seen this and that it worked as soon as I re-plugged it I assume it's likely a bug as well. Had a power outage earlier today, maybe the drivers got wonky.

The driver would be my only other suggestion, a power surge wouldn't just affect a mouse.

Well, the whole PC did shut down, after I booted it up it worked, decided to restart and the mouse wasn't registering. replugged and it works. No idea.
