I have a non OEM windows key, I have installed windows 8.1 on both my pc and my laptop using the same key.
Since it's a non OEM key, can I install it on my other computers without running into any problems?
Will they somehow link or does it only depend on the microsoft account?

Retail = Licence for one PC at a time (a.k.a. transferrable).

OEM = Licence for one PC (a.k.a. non-transferrable).

The licence gets linked to the hardware ID of the motherboard so as long as you don't change that its considered the same PC.

I think there is also a OEM system builders licence too which is transferrable.

OEM = Licence for one PC (a.k.a. non-transferrable by microsoft EULA, also not okay to use for personal use by EULA. However it is transferable and used personally, if you dont mind the EULA).
