Should I buy this ASUS MG279Q or wait for the G-sync version? I use an Nvidia card so free sync doesn't really matter. The other option is the Acer XB270HU. But I've heard tgere c are QC problems with the acer:( id be buying them from microcenter and would be able to return the Acer if I get a bad one. They currently have 5 of the ASUS mg279q in stock and 9 of the XB270HU in stock.

Microcenter has the best return policy in existence. had a unopened Mobo+cpu, it sat in a closet for a year, I finally convinced my dad to let me use it, so he called up microcenter and they took it and upgraded it to a 3570K and the one socket newer Mobo.

The Acer XB270HU is an excellent monitor..

i'd go ACER, that monitor is just too good

They have a lot of QC problems;

Dead pixels, backlight bleed, incorrectly glued pieces etc

But that should not discourage OP from at least trying.

he should try it, it's not like ALL the predator monitors suffered that problem.

A massive amount did. ( although all the negative reviews on amazon and ldlc seem to have vanished ? maybe the monitors where replaced in the end )

But as I said in my post, I would try it
