Is it possible to put OS X Mountain Lion on one SSD and keep my Windows 8 on my other SSD? If so does anyone know how I would go about doing so?

I basically want to be able to boot of the 1 SSD when I want to use OS X Mountain Lion and boot off the 2nd SSD when I want to use Windows 8.

The Windows 8 SSD is 512GB and the extra SSD is 256 GB. Would I be able to use it or would I need more storage and have to use a HDD?

Thanks in advance.

I have heard of people doing that first you need the right hardware for a hackintosh and also there are a bunch of step to step tutorials online if you search, here are a few:

Most of these are for 7, but it should work with 8 also:

You won't have to partition if you use separate ssds.

It would be possible to do this, but you'll have to set things up just right.

First off, Mac OS X on a hackintosh doesn't support EFI/UEFI booting, so you'll most likely have to disable any UEFI features in your BIOS. Once done, install OS X to your main SSD using any on the guides online (InsanelyMac, TonyMacX86, or any others, whichever you find most helpful!).

After that, install Windows to the 2nd SSD, Personally, I would disconnect the 1st SSD to prevent Windows from making any changes to it. Once Windows is installed, reconnect the 1st SSD, and set it first in your bootorder. You might need to re-install the bootloader for OS X, but once done, when you boot, you should be given an option of OS X or Windows!

PS. That's all info off the top of my head, I've been out of the hackintosh scene for about a year now, so you're on your own as to getting OS X working, it will largely depend on what hardware you have! Hope that helps!

PPS. Disable anything to do with SecureBoot as well, it won't play well with OS X!

Theres no problem at all dual booting, as long as your hardware is compatible, what are you running?
