I know most people on here will be android pro, but i'm not asking which one is better everyone always says android is just better, i'm just looking what's better suited for me, i use Iphone not because it's "better" but because i find it much more easy to use i'v used both before and just get confused at how to find anything in an android phone any settings or anything is just impossible for me i don't know why i just really suck with phones but the iphone if a 4 year old can do it and figure it out it's easy for me as well. i just need an easy phone to use i don't need it to have alot i only really play small games and use it to ring or text a few people which any phone these days can do all those things, looking at iphones i'd go for the Iphone 5c which is the cheapest "newer" ones i would get an even cheaper one if they weren't ass holes and stopped making them and i'v been looking at the xperia z2 i'v heard alot of good things both these phones cost about the same where i live the reason i'm here is i am just clueless when it comes to phones, i'm not even sure if android phones can text iphones everyone that i ring or text has iphones so i'm not sure if they can ring / text each other at no added cost or anything like that, i would just get the iphone and be done with it but i know there a trash product, i just get it becuase it's more easy to use and i have no clue about android hope you can help me.

EDIT: sorry about the million spelling mistakes and poor grammar i'm in a rush as i'm going out today to get one.

Main points is can i text iphones off android devices and are they that hard to learn for someone who is just bad at picking up how to use phones.

It's a matter of what you want and what you need. For ease of use and overall stability, iOS is usually the better bet. For deeper customization and more versatility and open-ness, Android is generally king. I came from an iPhone 5 to an HTC One M8. Both are good experiences meant for different people. And of course you can call and text people on iPhones from an Android phone, and vice versa.

this won't turn into a shit storm.

Well, it won't if people will stop being children about it. Though then again most of Linus's viewer base is children. To be fair though, I'm 17.

While I think the iphone is the best option, the 5c is shit and you should not buy it. At least get a 5s. Or wait till the 6s comes out and get a 6.

Its not like Android is insanely hard to use either. You have to weigh the pros and cons of each platform. Watch reviews and read articles to decide which is best for you.

I like the xperia z2 but i don't need all the added shit on it, i don't take pictures of much let alone myself so i don't need some 1000000000 pixel face cam that the xperia z2 has and texting / calling people from one OS to another dosn't come at any added cost, reason i'm asking is because last time i used phones alot was in high school when vodafone couldn't text telecom phones without added costs or stupid shit. Not sure how it was in US but that's how it was in NZ and hope that's not how it is now with todays phones, but you did say they can text / call so that's cool

If the new Moto G is available there, it's a great Android phone with a great price to match.

Yea it's here there is the 1st 2nd and 3rd gen?

The newest model, the 3rd gen, is a really solid device. Good features and no frills.

The newest model, the 3rd gen, is a really solid device.

I have to agree. The more expensive one is better for power users with a budget, the cheaper one for those who are not fussed.

The whole Android and Apple debate for me has pretty much just been Stock Android phones/Nexus or Moto, or you just head to Apple and avoid the C models.

Androids customisability is a bit of a fad, really. It's nice and all but it gets rather old after you see how much resources some of these customisations use, and how many shitty applications there are. After it wore off for me, I started seeing a phone as a PDA, an extension of my computer for things i want to look at, check, or add to whilst on the go. It pretty much gives me a niche for what phones will suit - and thus far, Apple has fit in that excluding how overpriced their latest models are, models with comparatively good specifications to any of the Androids I've had in the past.

Over here the moto g 3rd gen is same price as the  xperia z2 or the iphone =/

That's a really hard call to make. On one hand, the Moto G will get consistent and relevant software updates, on the other hand with the Xperia Z2 you get a lot more phone.

Android's customisability isn't even that much of a big deal unless you root, unlock and flash a custom ROM IMO. They're sometimes fun devices but for most people you need to scope out the best out-of-box experience and the least amount of frills.

Not sure if i should go with the moto or  xperia z2 there is only about $150 difference where i live, in USA  i think the moto is only like $180 but here it's about $300 RIP so at the price i'm not really sure if i should just spend the extra $150 for the xperia z2 has it has more stuff.

The Moto G here is $179 for 1GB RAM/8GB storage and $219 for 2GB RAM/16GB storage. Either way, the Z2 would probably be better.
