Hi guys, my pc has been running into some problems.

The computer will sometimes crash/freeze. When this happens there is no input from my keyboard or mouse, no BSOD, no error message, no shutdown and if audio is playing it will loop making a horrible noise.

These events don't seem to be following any pattern, sometimes they happen under load, sometimes if I'm just browsing the web. They've been happening fairly regularly maybe one every two days but sometimes more and sometimes less.

I have already changed the power supply so I don't believe that could be the problem but I don't know what else could be causing these crashes so if one of you could give me a hand it would be great.

System specs-

i7 5820k (cooled by a hyper 212 EVO)

GTX 970 (windforce)

16gb ddr4 (crucial ballistix)

EVGA supernova G2 850w PSU

Thanks for your help

So I have been having a really similar issue to you and I still haven't found a fix but this might help a little bit. Check your Event Viewer. Just search it in the start menu. Then go to Windows Logs > System and search by date and time. Scroll back to your last critical error and check to see what were the events that happened before it. Check other times it has crashed as well. Also are you running Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10?
