And some don't even do anything apart from raising the voltage needlessly high(but not in a damaging way, it just "wastes" power that has to be dicipated by your cooler).

I'd say do It right or leave it as it is.

That also depends on the mobo.

If he will do alot of editing etc it can be nice to have the stuff on a SSD. Or if he want fast loading games.

I just put it in there for him to see the max basically, he can just change it to a 256GB if he doesnt need more.

I suppose 256GB is enough as I dont use more than 180GB with GTA V and some more games, aswell as alot of programs. It depends on what he feels he need.

If you want to save some money, drop to a 256GB SSD, I dont think you will need more than that to be honest.

 

And if you dont want to do overclocking you can get like a 212 EVO and save like 70 there aswell. The 212 EVO can still handle a small overclock.

You choose, i dont know how much you need, but HD videos take alot of space, just keep that in mind :)
