Well, to replace your Avermedia, you can get an Elgato Game Capture HD 60.

As for free software for recording stuff, OBS is your best bet.

I hope you're joking, or you just didnt read

you can use the elgato hd60 or avermedia extremecap u3

I have the Avermedia HD II it only records 30fps I have a pretty good computer but I doubt my hard drive can keep up with a 1080P 60FPS feed. Is there any computer free capture card?

Obs isn't a card but its a viable choise

The only common, gaming-oriented capture card that doesn't require a computer is the AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable, however it does not record 60 FPS.

Beyond that, you might as well set up a secondary capture PC.

You could just use your graphics card? Nvidia and amd both have capture options that will do 1080p 60fps. Albeit at a low bitrate.

Right...I'm going to alleviate a little confusion.

I know I said this too, but I think i realised what the actual question is.

He's asking if there are any capture cards available that can record at 60FPS without the need of using a computer to record it.

He's not asking for free screen capture software.

Realistically, I recommend just getting a Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K. I can't find anything that can record at 1080p/60Hz besides that, much less one that can store it to its own hard drive.

a computer-free capture card would be the AverMedia Live Gamer Portable, but it's only capable of 1080P 30FPS, or 720P 60FPS i believe

most "computer free" are the options I listed. Could try the hd pcr rocket or avermedia portable, but I dont think those are 60fps, may be 100% independent thought

The whole point is a COMPUTER FREE capture card I already have a capture card but I want a new 60fps capable one.

There is no 60fps one that you can get unless you want to dish out at least $800, my school has two of those let me see if I can find them, only 60fps ones that are good and work and cheap are the pcie ones that needs a computer otherwise your stuck to 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps
