Linus should at least build a beefy server to host the LTT forums, additionally with a custom firewall PC alongside Cloudflare to mitigate these DDoS attacks. There must be patterns at where the attack is aimed anyway; it should be as simple as a firewall block rule

 I took notice of this guy Linus many months ago when I discovered him by accident on Youtube, during some type of search while I was building my first PC last year.  I thought "the kid is really enjoyable to watch and does a great job of explaining things."  (no disrespect when I use the word "kid").

 

So now, with this server checking the browser thing, and you guys explaining that it's a DDOS, I am now wondering to what extent Linus's knowledge extends.  Really.  Just curious and more impressed, if he besides knowing a lot about hardware and typical software use, does he understand servers and hacking, too?

'Is making for a more interesting guy and interesting story.

I'd say his knowledge expands every time he does a Techquickie video. He does know a fair bit about servers, after all if you've seen the recent LTT office moving vlogs, he is the one that is always attending&rebooting them .

If you're using Safari it should be normal for Apple services. The difference on the forum was that the DDoSer had posted an image url with certain headers which prompted a phishing login screen, which sent the user's login credentials to his website.
