I'm pretty sure it's possible, but it's not a good idea. As the SSD's are fast and HDD's aren't, so you'll be messing up the speeds a lot.

You can, but don't do that. You won't be able to utilize the ssd speed so don't do it. Unless you really have to, but if you don't have to, don't do it.

Well, I asked a lot of questions here on this forum and there is always that one guy that says something completely unrelated to the topic. I am here to state it is really annoying. That is what I did.

Depends how much storage & speed you want. If you mainly want speed, go with SSD, but you will be getting a lot less storage because of the price. If you want a lot more storage, go with HDD, but the speed will be less.

 

In my opinion an HDD is more worth it because you'd have decent speed and a lot of storage for the price, but it all depends on what you're gonna be using it for.

So mainly I would use it to play games but i would use it sometimes for school to do homework

Hey there thegamer15, welcome to the community

 

Basically you can put any number and type of drives in a RAID array. Do have in mind two specifics, though:

- RAID controllers generally limit all drives' capacities to the one with the smallest in the array and the speed of all drives in the array to the one with the slowest. In other words, you will have four drives that work with the speed of the HDDs and have the capacity of the SSDs (provided you have smaller and faster SSDs).

- Games rely on the storage's performance only for the loading times and autosaves. FPS and graphics are not affected at all. Only a few games (typically open-world games) somewhat benefit from faster storage as they need to load huge texture files. 

 

I would use the two SSDs either in a RAID0 configuration for better performance with backups to the HDDs or separately for games, applications and OS and elave everything else (including less-demanding games) for the HDDs.
