Why does hdd need reserved partition.

I am install windows on my new ssd and I created the partitions now when I create partitions for the hard drive it has 16 reserved why is that the os isn't on it? Edit:,Nm it's 16mb but what is I for anyway?

For one, it should be on the SSD. Now the hard drive is tied to the system in software. That partition is used so the system can boot - if you unplug that hard drive for whatever reason and boot the system, you will end with a black screen and nothing else.

For one, it should be on the SSD. Now the hard drive is tied to the system in software. That partition is used so the system can boot - if you unplug that hard drive for whatever reason and boot the system, you will end with a black screen and nothing else.

There is one for ssd as well. Windows is installing right now :).

I don't have that partition on my one of my systems, do you know why?

It's invisible. You'll see it in Disk Management or a similar third party program.
