Recently my games have been crashing and causing my computer to blue screen. Originally I thought it was a driver or game update that I didn't have, but I'm up to date on everything. Some time after the crashes started, my monitor started saying that it had no input and wouldn't show the screen. The monitor itself seemed fine as it has power and would eventually show everything after a long time spent waiting. I immediately thought it could be my graphics card. I have an XFX 7870. However, this was given to me by my friend, and to my knowledge it was kept in a desk collecting dust for a long time. I had to do some major cleaning to get it back decent condition. Everything else seems to be working fine. Does this seem like the end of this card or the failure of something else?

blue screens can be related to cpu/ram/gpu and much more... when u turn on the pc and u got no input at boot its most likely a boot failure

check if ur ram timings are set proper in the bios and voltages aswell , its probably just a unstable pc with no defect parts just wrong settings  ( it is in most cases ).. if a gpu would be defect u usually see artifacts everywhere over the screen or never get screen at all

check ur bsod code with

https://msdn.microsoft.com/nl-nl/library/windows/hardware/hh994433%28v=vs.85%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

for example,    124 = cpu voltage and 50 usually relates to ram

it could also be a driver ( but i hugely doubt that since u had boot fails )

To clarify, I got input at boot. I would keep my computer on, but turn my monitor off. When I would turn my monitor back on it would say no input until it finally recognized it after about five minutes. This happened about three times already.
