I was curious if after hitting get started and click on a full reset, Does it reset all drives or just your bootdrive? because i'm worried if i let it finish "getting ready" it's going to start without any confirmation and i was curious if it was the single drive or all drives connected.

I've personally done the whole upgrade then reset process. You follow prompts and choose the drive to reset and also choose whether or not you wish to keep files or to clean everything entirely (within the drive Windows is installed, not every drive in your system). My storage HDD is fine and my SSD is running a clean Windows 10 Pro.

If you're really worried, you can simply disconnect every drive that isn't your boot drive before you reset.

That's odd and may be a localized issue with Razer. If it helps any, the keyboard I use isn't special, but is a ps/2 one. Probably not that significant, but mentioning it just in case. My friends who have reset their upgraded Windows 10 haven't experienced this issue and neither have I.

  • 4 months later...

Is it supposed to take 9million years to reset?

Had it going for at least 3 or 4 hours now and it's only done 6%, and it didn't get to 6 then stop it has been slow chaining between each %.

Is it faster to just format and re-install from bootable USB?

I have that problem and clean install looks like the only solution or soak it in the wotar.
