Why would you connect case fans to the cpu fan headers? You can just use splitters on the normal ones.

I thought it was more beneficial to have all the PWM fans connected via splitters on the cpu fan header so that controls the speed?

I guess, but then the fans only go faster when the CPU heats up, and you might have something that uses alot of GPU, and not so much CPU; which would make your gpu very hot

MSI B85M Gaming

Looks like you've got 2 4-pin fan headers in addition to the CPU fan header. I'd get 2 splitters and connect 2 case fans to each of the SYS FAN headers. I'm not sure of the wisdom of connecting all the fans to the CPU FAN header, just split them out.

You can check how many amps each header can take from manual. But it should be like 1A per header. That would mean max 4 fans, or 3 to be safe. Or you can get hub with external power.
