OK, so:

Im going to buy myself a new graphics card and SSD for my rig as my gpu needs replacing and its about time I joined the SSD crew.

I also want to get Windows 10.

I also want to wipe my current hard drive so that I get a fresh start with my new system.

I also want to install Windows onto the new SSD - Im getting the free download.

My question is: What is the best way to achieve the new, updated system with Windows 10 running off the SSD and a wiped HDD.

Currently, my plan is to:

1.  swap out the gpu's while still running windows 7

2. Download the media centre thing and create an install of Windows 10 on a Flash Drive.

3. Plug in the SSD

4. Install W10 to the SSD

5. Wipe the HDD

Thoughts? am I wrong? will I break my rig?

Yes, you should deffinately turn off your PC before swapping the cards.

Swapping your GPU while the PC is running is just silly, I wouldn't recomend doing that...

CPU: Intel i7 5820K @ 4.20 GHz | MotherboardMSI X99S SLI PLUS | RAM: Corsair LPX 16GB DDR4 @ 2666MHz | GPU: Sapphire R9 Fury (x2 CrossFire)
Storage: Samsung 950Pro 512GB // OCZ Vector150 240GB // Seagate 1TB | PSU: Seasonic 1050 Snow Silent | Case: NZXT H440 | Cooling: Nepton 240M
FireStrike // Extreme // Ultra // 8K // 16K

slip of the finger. I meant that I wouldn't have done anything regarding windows 10 yet. I would turn off my pc before putting my hands on the gpu
