I'm new to this game, but how do you buy weapons? I know ingame with B, but can you buy more weapons that you can use ingame? I don't want to spend real money.

Nope, at the start of the game, you are provided with every single weapon. Only thing you can buy are Skins for the guns. They have no impact on the performance of the gun.

The only thing real money will get you is skins for the guns in-game. All the guns in the game can be found in the buy menu, and will show the skins you have equipped in your inventory.

It's important to note that not all guns are available on each team, as some are team specific. They can however, be used by any team if picked up off the ground.

You can also have 2 skins equipped simultaneously for guns that are buy-able on both teams by setting one skin for each team (eg: AWP, asiimov skin equipped to CT and redline equipped to T).

I would add that you can earn box's or skins at random by completing comps, leveling and sometimes mvp.

 

but saying that skins is just a pissing contest, wasting money just for the wank factor.

 

.... I still think my awp hyper beast is nice though, since its a nice skin I think i use it more hence making me better.
