It's time for me to upgrade my 670. Its almost 3 years old and i'm looking to replace it with something that has more power and is a lot quieter than the model 670 I have. Unfortunately I don't know which card I should upgrade to. My primary use is multimedia work (video editing/compositing, photoshop, etc) and I'm starting to play video games more frequently again.

Here's what I would like to get out of my next gpu.

-1080p 60fps+ on most games (I have larger res monitors, but mostly play on my tv).

- Has to run as quiet as possible. (My 670 is the only thing in my rig that makes noticable noise).

- Would like to stay with NVidia because of the CUDA support in Adobe software.

Suggestions??????

Windows 10 Edu | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | Ryzen 9 3950x | 4x 16GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB| ROG Strix GeForce® RTX 2080 SUPER™ Advanced edition | Samsung 980 PRO 500GB + Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB + 8TB Seagate Barracuda | EVGA Supernova 650 G2 | Alienware AW3418DW + LG 34uc87c + Dell u3419w | Asus Zephyrus G14

Not so worried about the color scheme. My desktop sits under my table in a windowless Define r5. The MSI is one of the one with the silent mode correct?

Is the g1 quiet?

The 970 is still the best bang for the buck? Should I even consider the 980ti?

I had the same Card as you

How much money do you have?

You should consider upgrading your Display too and switch to 1440p.

ADobe supports OpenCL rendering/compute. Atleast the Adobe products ive got in my CC subscription, which is like all of them :P

OpenCL performance with AMD is just as fast, sometimes even way faster, then CUDA.

My msi 970 is pretty quite even at 70% fan speed, the gigabyte one is apparently pretty loud but you don't need to put fan speed more than 50-60% really, the 980 ti is overkill for 1080p so don't spend that much mate.
