I'm just gonna go with the Coolermaster one since, after some research, out preforms majority of the coolers up until custom solutions. It being semi-modular doesn't make a difference since the only attached cable is the 24pin cable but I will be considering the seasonic psu.

If you are not going to expand the loop to cool the GFX cards too than dont get the Eisberg . Get the H100i With Nf-f12 fans or Be quiet Silent wings 2 ( or scythe gentle typhoon if you can find em in the us)

for a 2K rig, ya gotta go X97 bruhv, wait for the socket refresh and get all dem new x79 mobos and a 4930K or 3930K depending on your preference

also build a custom loop with that money

I wouldn't be able to build a good custom loop with my budget, maybe if it was $2500 then I would consider. Also, if the next platform that will replace the x79 comes out and has cpus at a good price along with mobo, then I would definitely get that.

I might do that since I will be changing my GFX cards often to get the best performance every generation of cards and water cooling them would be a waste.

Unless you're working/gaming at 1440p or across multiple displays, the 780 is overkill. If you are though, then go right ahead. A 7970 isn't a bad choice though with it's vram and OpenCL rendering power.

Adobe and Autodesk is adapting to utilize OpenCL as it's basically open source CUDA. They both perform nearly equally. It's just that CUDA has had more support but everyone is veering to OpenCL. AMD also has very powerful hardware on the OpenCL side compared to Nvidia for rendering.

You wouldn't want to use Intel QuickSync if you're doing professional work. It's okay and somewhere along the lines of H.264. It's okay for light transcoding but you won't want to use it for important projects.

As for the motherboard, pretty much all the z87 motherboards have no problem with pushing 4.8 ghz if your chip allows it. The sabertooth doesn't really provide any advantage over the other options except with extreme cooling solutions like liquid nitrogen overclocking competitions and benchmarks. Know that if you're going with it, you're paying $80-100 for a piece of plastic and a longer warranty.

Same deal with the ram. If you want to pay $50 extra for looks, that's your decision.

You should really look at the Samsung 840 instead for ssds. They're excellent and a good value.

The psu is overkill. A 750w plat or a 850w bronze would do.
