Hi guys,

I need a new built in the ITX formfactor (Will be traveling quite a bit with the computer).

Usage is engineering applications (Solidworks, Altium Designer) and some gaming (Mostly LoL and sometimes FarCry or Battlefield). I have an 1080p IPS monitor (60Hz).

I want to use the Fractal Design Node 202 with its 450W 80+ Bronze power supply (Enough?)

I want an NVidia Graphics Card to stream to a Shield.

Here is what I have so far (without the case/PSU which will be $120). (The motherboard comes with a CPU cooler, this motherboard is not compatible with most coolers --> See Linus' video about that board)

I might change the SSD for a m.2 one.

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor  ($299.99 @ Micro Center)
Motherboard: ASRock X99E-ITX/ac Mini ITX LGA2011-3 Narrow Motherboard  ($243.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  ($92.99 @ Newegg)
Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-08-06 16:23 EDT-0400
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($97.95 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card  ($333.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $1068.91
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

That motherboard only has room for two sticks of RAM. Keep that in mind.

Said why in description

op: 450w should be enough but you wont be able to oc. I'g get something bigger

Solidworks, Altium Designer <- idk if needs cuda

I want an NVidia Graphics Card to stream to a Shield.<- justifiable if he already has a shield, but imo isn't worth it for the age / price of the "tablet"

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.

Why would that RAM be better? Almost 50% more expensive than the original RAM.

I want to stream to a Shield console, not tablet :)

Another reason is that Nvidia cards have better power consumption and heat output which are important in such a small case.

I was waiting for Skylake to come out to build this but was disappointed by the price to performance ratio. The 5820k is cheaper than the 6700K...

Also, is there performance difference if I get an m.2 SSD? Or will it be the same as a SATA one?

Ok, I was just checking ^^

Yes something like the samsung m,2 ssd is about 2x faster, without taking up space and requiring connectors

faster ssd's in order from fast to fastest @ around 250gb

samsung 850 evo

samsung 850 pro

sandisk extreme pro

samsung 850 evo (msata)

samsung sm951 (m.2-2280)

get something faster than the 850 evo (sata) if you can afford it

make sure you get a fully modular evga (g2 or gs) or seasonic psu

edit:

i'm not sure how far you'll be able to take your overclock given the small cooler. i wish you could use something better to really harness more performance...

Thanks for the SSD info :)

I need an SFX PSU so I have to go with Silverstone or Fractal Design... I could go with a 500W 80+ Gold Silverstone one but that would be an extra 55$, pretty expensive for just 50 Watts.

For the cooler, I will try this one out and if it doesn't work out well for me I will just get a Corsair H55 or similar.
